Il Limoncello opens on 1 February 1992. Behind it is Gino Tarulli, who saw a good deal of the world before coming home: hotel school in Termoli, then the Savoy in London and the Hôtel de Paris in Monte Carlo. In Sardinia, in Santa Teresa di Gallura, he becomes restaurant manager; in England, in Cromer, head waiter and later hotel manager. In the end he chooses to bring all this experience back to his hometown.
In the kitchen, international dishes meet the typical recipes of the area. The rule is simple: only fresh ingredients, many of them locally sourced, and fish always fresh, never frozen. Whoever comes in finds warmth and professionalism together, and prices within everyone’s reach. As Gino says: “Eating well doesn’t mean you have to pay a lot.”
Il Limoncello is also the place for family celebrations: christenings, first communions, confirmations, weddings, 18th birthdays and birthdays, for up to 100 guests. Every party has its theme, and you choose the colour.
